Don't know if this has been done before, just curious what the forum in general is into. There were only 10 slots, so had to combine some genres and sorry if your favorite isn't represented. Just trying to get a general idea. Also allowed for up to 4 choices but only if you really need em. Let's see what happens.

I like heavy music and hillbilly music and I feel my choices represent that.

None of those - mostly 70s easy listening / AM Gold type stuff, and 70s/80s funk and disco....

I know its early in the voting and I am not surprised the Blues is high on the list, I have noticed a lot of commentary on the blues here

I'm not sure where I fit in, I tend to try play whichever song hits a chord( pardon the pun)with me, maybe that's why I have so much trouble trying to learn play these blasted guitars of mine..

The easiest for me is swing..It's my nature..That being said, it doesn't really matter much.. Ill be comfortable with anything the bass player can play..

What no choice for Show Tunes or TV Theme songs. So I had to pick Jazz Funk, Blues, Hard and classic Rock. Oh why did I learn Bonanza, Raw Hide, Hawaii Five O' and West Side Story.

    Blues southern reggae classic indie....

Missing, well? I totally understand choices were limited.... so to add:

My bands are always original, unless after I move and I get in an island southern rock cover band playing on a deck at a bar grill on a Sunday afternoon... after plenty of years learning, playing covers and a few “start ups” learning to write, I have little desire to play covers. Sometimes at a commercial break of watching tv me and the mrs will play name that tune.

So the band is 70s inspired boogie van slurpee fueled muscle car music. Me and my daughter will write hard rock gritty songs. It’s just me on guitar her on some guitar and writing and singing. Mostly I am a support role for her to learn her direction. I will play a cover song with her as she learns and practices.

Then my solo stuff of just me, like @Roccobagadonuts -more instrumental, textures loops, ambient spaghetti, all that... my songs are built on loops that I can recreate live (right now). Maybe with backing tracks later.

Nope... not ready for prime time. Most the gear is packed away for moving. Listen to some Tommy Guerrero... kinda like that.
