If y’all haven’t noticed yet, I’m a cheap sob bastard, :( and whenever I can I will salvage,, “anything” . I’m tearing apart this huge old redwood deck, most of it is all nominal 2” thick junk, it’s old and crappy crap. But as I usually do, I must search for anything that “might” make a guitar, and unfortunately there ain’t much here, so this will be all I have to attempt to make something from a pile of trash.
I didn’t get a picture of how it looked before I cleaned it up, but it a 2 piece body. Here I’m doing epoxy over raw wood to fill in some of the checking. It’s these weird spur of the moment things that usually come out really cool or ,,, ? A total waste of time? We’ll see, fingers crossed ;)

“The Ensenada Green Enchilada “ ?? Yes that Fender Fidelitron in the neck position is crazy good sounding , well an original’68 Deluxe Reverb helps too ;)

G, you get a lot of my good ones, that one’s going to be tough to pry out of my hands :( ,, But! This is what you have to look forward to >

Simple enough, there will be two more pairs on both sides, that’s where it starts getting weird. The owner can’t decide whether to keep the same angle, this would make each pair get closer to the house (definitely easier for me) The other way would be to keep the same distance from the roof edge, this would mean every one of them would be at a different angle

I hate spoiler pics but I’m so excited I just can’t hi,,,,,dit :( just need some black string trees, black input jack, black nut, maybe a different knob, a fret level, etc.,, The pickup is a Gibson off a traditional pro,, I think” ?

Corn, is there an advantage to using a 24 3/4 scale over 25.5?

I finished this one up a while back. I’m not sure why I added an extra fret, maybe I thought It would be cool, it is, just different,, makes it feel long. I may have to do another fret level, I might of got lazy :( I really like the black dots on the flammy maple, I might have to copy myself. These cheap H90 pickups are pretty decent. Not sure I’m liking the Gibson style tuners but that’s what I had on hand and thought they looked kind of surfy,, ehhh,,,

This one’s almost done, I got this neck online, I didn’t build it, but I did completely reshape the profile of it, and did a complete fret job, looking forward to how this is going to come out. It has a standard hot fender noiseless bridge pickup and a gold foil mini humbucker in the neck

Here I go again jumping into something I have no idea what I’m going to do :( I’ve had this heavy ash Tele body sitting around for long enough, it’s a heavy hunk’a wood so I doing belly cut and arm cut, and also routing it big and deep , in hopes to lighten the load,,

I mocked it up and thought hey that’s cool,, so I routed where I thought everything would work,

Still haven’t figure out exactly what bridge I’m going to use or very likely maybe a jazz master tremolo?? I thought I had it figured out with the half jazzmaster half 51 and have a bass control plate,, I think I will end up having to make a pick guard. But it definitely is going to be three H90 pickups with three volumes and one tone and a three way switch I thought I might as well at least get some color on it and figure out all the other BS later ;)

So this old lumber I took off a job about six or seven years ago, I have used up pretty much all the bigger stuff for two piece and three piece bodies, I’m now down to four piece bodies. If I can use the same piece of wood for a four piece body, most of the time you can barely find the seams. This is all old nominal lumber, 2 inch thick and 4 inch wide, at least. I’m going to build three bodies currently so if anybody wants one of these speak up, I think they will all be Tele’s , or?
