Both are nice guitars. You got a deal. I would ditch the roller saddles on the red burst Strat. It makes it look cheap in my opinion. Post pics when you get them repaired and back togethe. 👍🏻👍🏻
This is the guitars before he took them apart to show where the
fixes are needed.

Congrats, hope it all gets sorted.

I recently had loose bridge posts on a 2 point trem, no cracks, but looks like one is at a body glue joint as well.
Loosing the strings, the claw springs would pull down on the trem and the posts would lift.

Saw a youtube vid - coat strip of newspaper with wood glue, wrap around bushing and hammer in.
Worked great, so far. I don't think I will loose the strings without blocking the trem or backing out the claw springs, and / or leaving 2 strings on during string change maybe.

I put Sharpie marks at the edge of the claw bracket to mark where it should be. I had to loose the strings and pull it apart to add foam under the pickups (jazzmaster style guitar) and it worked well to get everything synched.

Kind of hokey I know, but so far so good.

Sounds like that's a good fix!

Mine were blown out at one time and thin ca glued back together, not
a "fix" on these, they need more strength in that area.

Great axes, and easy fit mate !
Hi Rob,
I remember someone (years ago) made a plug with the wood grain going
the other way.
I have no idea how to make the plugs, but I would like 4 of them.
I am so ready to do this...

25k suggested to ditch the bodies.
That might happen if I can't find direction to a good fix and try something
I'm not comfortable figuring out on my own.
