Still have not managed to get it done in two weeks time. The pile of bodies and bucket of necks keeps growing as well.

    I have a few.

This one has the frets ends popping up. Need to either glue them down or just replace the frets. I’m leaning towards replacing them, because I’ve never done it and it’s something I would like to learn.

This one needs the neck shimmed or something. Just can’t get the action right.

This one I think I’m going to strip down to bare wood and see what it looks like. I’m kind of thinking a natural wood finish with black hardware. I have a set of SD Invaders ready to go in this one!

And then I have a couple bodies and necks that I will use for some future projects.

    My version Jimi tribute "Strat".
Please don't slash me about the headstock decal. It's a genuine Fender neck that I sanded the original decal off and put a reverse shortened one on.
Not wired yet and the the parts are just laying there for the photo 20211014_075747.jpg 20211014_075830.jpg 20211014_075847.jpg

Just this pile of parts. Waiting on a pickguard. Once I get that, I have a little routing to do for Mustang switches, then wire it up and fire it up.

Thanks for posting this, I've been feeling pretty bad about all the half finished projects I have (probably 20) seeing it's not just me makes me feel better somehow. Is that a real mij floral on top of that body stack? I've always wanted one.

It came on some of the 80's super Strats by Hondo. All it says is mfg Floyd rose patents.
Had a real skinny zinc block but surprisingly a fender pw 29 block was a direct fit. 20211014_100406.jpg 20211014_100420.jpg
If you're seeing the block looking a little twisted, you're right but it's no biggie since the block to plate screws line up and the trem arm hole is in it's proper place.
The strings actually seat in the saddles not the block.

I love the color, Evening Orchid, of this guitar, an entry level Squier Mustang that I snagged back when MF was practically giving them away. I just know I'll never play the Mustang. Should've sprayed a Telecaster Bullet. I still have a can of the expensive paint and some compatible clear. Instead of putting this back together I should spray a Telecaster. I would play that. Need time too. It's always something. Just when I'm jerking around here online work gets busy and I need to address it. Can't be spraying guitars. Reading maybe, but no time for tinkering. First world problem.

That's a lot of work right there. Nice colors though.
