Well I received my iyv mustang last night… and I must say for An 85.00 dollar guitar I am impressed!!! I was expecting a Toyish guitar.
Tuned it up retuned again, and it is a nice playing axe… bridge will need an upgrade.,, maybe the finish is nice the balance is nice the overall feel is great.
Neck is fast no heavy poly coat on the back side of the neck. Sound is great this guitar was well spent money great mod plat form if one has the cash these days.
This is easily a 200.00 guitar at a music store… and even then even then it would be worth it imo.
Hit me up if you have one as nd what mods you did

I've got two, and I haven't done any modifications at all, other than to install some decent strings and raise the pickup heights. I like it just the way it is, it's a daily player!

Inyen Vina builds some great guitars, they are a South Korean company who's factory is in Viet Nam and I agree their IYV line is exceptional for the price. I've owned a few over the years. . The AIO/Wolf line offered by All in One Guitars in L.A. are built by them and they are exceptional guitars under $500. Anyway congrats on a great score.

Even with the awful strings it shipped with, mine sounds and plays great. I think the bridge is just fine. I’ll put some 10’s on it shortly, and give it the slight intonation tweak it needs, and then I know it’ll be REAL fun.

I’m gonna have to apologize to my VM JM, because honestly, this is more fun, and easier to play.

I’m 99% sure I’m going to leave it stock.

I got mine at 6:45 last Night! I was on my third Drink waiting! Very Nice and Single Coils all for $90? Fat Mother! All I can say is WOW! This morning I put my Fender Mex Mustang Hardtail up for Comparison. I bought gutted Body from The Stratosphere about 6 years ago. Loaded it my way and Chiseled out room for the Phase Switches. It ties for # 1 with my Thinline Tele. The White is quite Yellow to me but finish is nice with maybe one dimple. This is one Fat Body! Just a little over 1 & 7/8" thick. Red is a little over 1 & 1/2". Not bad on weight at 7 pounds 2 oz. Red is 6 pounds 12 oz. Heavy Belly Cut and Arm Contour. I got the Low Winds at 6.11k and 6.27k. Red has some from Q in Croatia at 5.8k and 5.9k. Sounds pretty good too! Trem Bar just pushes into maybe a Rubber Sleeve with no threading! So I put over 6 Hundred into Red, which I sleep with, and $90 into this. I could have got 7 of these! Neck Frets not too bad either for less Bleeding! I am also leaving it Stock! :D :D:D Just some Lemon Oil and Strings!

I deleted my Original Post due to some Controversy's, so here is link! I offered $80 and He countered $85, so a Done Deal. Not an open box item either. Link was Edited!

What a great deal these IYV Mustangs are! Essentially a Classic Vibe Mustang at less than 1/4th the price. I sure am tempted to buy one; however, my wife thinks my magic number for how many guitars I should have is less than or equal to 4. In other words, I’m already at my limit.

Yes, since joining S-T just a year ago, I could count my Guitars on one Hand and no Thumb! (4) Now I need both Hands and Thumbs and two Toes! (12)!

eBay now says This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing.

Until parts prove themselves as deficient, the only thing I see are really in the pickguard for preference.

1. Strat Single coils replaced with P90's, might even use Epiphone/Gibson P90's.
2, Replace the 2 switches Off/On style with a single Epiphone/Gibson toggle or 3 way style Telecaster switch.
3. Replace plastic control area with a chromed steel Squier/Fender Mustang plate.

Its great to hear how many have been, well, astounded!, by these various IVYs.

I'm, frankly, blown away by my 'Thinline' style Tele type. I think, just going by looks, it is among the nicest of my guitars. And its playability is up there, too.

The PUPS, initially, weren't "me" -- too "overwound", too much 'overdrive', but working with them, per my earlier thread, made them, too, desirable.

Yes, there are small ways that I can see that it did not have the careful craftsmanship of, say, my better (rather upscale) Gibsons. But in other ways its beauty even tops those. Its finish is nothing short of gorgeous. And, what's more, it's actually "classy."

Less than $100 delivered! How on earth is that even possible?
