    Hello everyone,
I am new at this forum so i will start with introducing myself. My name is Robert and i play for some years. I am starting to teach myself to do upgrades to the guitar so I am planning on acquiring a Squier se strat. The one that i have found, and will pick up coming wednesday seems a bit off.
The headstock logo seems to be some millimeters off and it doesnt measure body width 44,5mm. I know that the Strat SE is a full body that is why i want it.
Can someone tell me if this one is replicated or that it is just a bad production. The serial number is a serial number of a Strat SE.

    Thanks in advance everyone!

So this is a full body? even when it doesnt measure 44.5 cm exact?

  3. They varied to some extent. With higher end models, more care was taken on specs.

You're talking hardly any difference....like 1CM or so.....I would still consider this full thickness as a big block tremolo will fit it fine.....

the one in the pic looks like its around 44 millimeters thick ...which is full size thickness a.k.a. 1 and 3/4 inches.

It all looks correct. Time to put the measuring tape back in the drawer and grab instead a fresh set of strings and some fretboard conditioning oil - it's desperately in need of some!

  13. That and a digital micrometer. Ditch the measuring tape for guitar use.

A lot of these bodies have 2 to 3 pounds of body filler, paint, and primer on. You will a a slight difference in the thickness.

Where did you dream up this nonsense? It's utterly rong. I'm gobsmacked that you're saying this in a public forum like it's fact.

Because I have stripped the paint off them and weighed them. I found a really thick layer of primer and some filler. I shaped both the belly cut and the outer edge with a wood file to get rid of waves. I’m not saying they’re all like that but they are out there. How about you?
