Is the market for music magazines dead? When was the last time you bought one?

The last time I can remember buying a music magazine on a regular basis was when I used to pick up CMJ back in the 90's. I might have picked up some random issues of things like Spin in the earlier 2k's for specific artist covers. None since then.

Magazines just like cable tv are dead to me.
Cost vs content.
The never ending barrage of advertisements were just to much for me .
I fear YouTube will be the next thing scratched from my source of entertainment.

I had a ton back in the 80’s. It was one of the few ways to learn anything out in my rural area.
I think the last time I bought a magazine was mid 90’s.
After I discovered olga I just browsed the mags when I was in the store.
Vhs tape lessons were also a huge step forward to not needing a magazine sub anymore.

Talk about retro. I had a subscription to Guitar Aficionado within earshot of the death rattle of the industry. It was a nice last-gasp coffee table mag that most guests picked up and commented on. It had something for everyone and had superior tactile quality.
