My fender JV stratocaster was bought from a Japanese, it can be seen 3 EXT stamp on its neck, and 4W stamped inside a body. However, There is no specific date on the neck end. Looking for help

I believe that original pickups and electrics were changed

Rosewood color is a little bit brightness than other JV stratocaster

I'm not convinced that it's genuine. Too many little niggles.

I don't like the headstock, neck pocket holes, pickups or serial number

In fact, it sounds better than my other fender when I play the guitar

If you like how it sounds and feels, then that is all that matters.

My concern is that if the headstock decal.is fake, then what else is? The neckplate?

@Tamarindo03 and others know more about the JV (US and non-US) models.

is the neck/headstock sanded or refinished? The tint is odd too. Looks like it's been worked on some. Lock holes on the stock. Looks like the "bones" may be jv. Check the serial at 21 frets for the date range

I'm not an expert on these but I'm going to say it's real but not original. If the neck is original they must have messed with the finish but tried not to destroy the logo and you can see someone has swapped some pickups and covers. I'm not a fan of the neck finish but it looks like a great guitar either way.

  11. Definitely has signs of being tinkered with. I don't know if Ryan still posts here, but he'd know far more.

If you love to play it, than it's good ! Somewhere deep deep down inside the hidden part of our brain... we know it's only wires and wood

If it plays nicely, the only real concern is that the OP didn't get what he paid for. I hope he didn't pay too much, because it's not right.

Something very weird going on with that logo and there was clearly a floyd style string bar on that neck at some point, but the body was clearly not routed for a floyd. May just be the angle of the photos but something about the body seems off. I doubt very seriously it's an original 83, but as long as OP didn't pay much and he likes it....

Pickups kinda look like Tokai grey backs? Bones look great probably sounds /plays awesome

I’d rock that one for sure.

To upgrade five images of the pickups here, it could be helpful

Thank you, which strat models of tokai? It can be seen that JV serial had been provided American Fulltone Greys(Pickup) on stratocasters since 1982

The neck had been sanded smoothly, then the logo decal was refinished possibly by someone, it seems to be stick on the headstock, and I have no idea why they decided to dig holes on the neck...

They're not US Fullerton or Tokai pickups, the markings are wrong for both. None of the wiring is original either.
