"Woodland Afternoon - Mid-Autumn"
Heading up to Sage Hen Reservoir, known for its excellent Rainbow Trout fishing. It was closed all summer because they were logging up there but it finally opened and we will be heading up there in the Spring with the kayaks...
"Rough Landscape, Early Autumn Morn"
"Already Awaiting Spring"
A tree falls across a brook...
But it's not the end ....
Four branches spring up and continue to grow ...
Been trying to get a decent picture of Mars this year, but so far this is the best I've gotten.
Awesome pic! Thank you for sharing. I was about to post a grainy picture of a scrawny deer. Now I'm embarrassed to do so. Naa. Haha.
I have seen the clear night sky around 8 EST the past couple nights. Among the few constellations I recognized were reddish colored stars (?). One was high in the eastern sky. The other was lower in the SW sky. I believe that is usually Venus. Then again, I can get lost in my yard so do not trust my star search.
Once again, congrats for capturing a stunning pic and sharing.
Watched this young 8 pointer make a scrape this more.
Did yourself a filter ?And if so ,what colour?Did you take any pictures of Saturn or Jupiter?
"Sunrise Through a Dew Wet Window"
Used a color camera. Much easier that using monochrome for planets. I do have pictures of Jupiter & Saturn.
I've uploaded some here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/joewoolbright
I posted this a couple years ago but thought I would share it again. She showed up at our camper door looking for a hand out...
One of my all time favorite pictures. There is more to it than meets the eye. Although, what meets the eye always cracks me up and makes me smile. There is a back story which puts it all together.
My grandson is quite the amateur geologist and we have plenty of rocks. That day he was breaking rocks with a ball peen hammer seeking geodes. Hence the goggles.
After rock breaking we were going to visit an elderly neighbor on my 4 wheeler. Silly 4 year old boy wants to wear the goggles.
Between home and neighbors we see the caterpillar. Snap.
I miss my grandkids. They moved 1,200 miles away.
