Still burning but 40 % contained. Almost 93,000 acres burned so far and prime fishing/camping/hunting area closed...
Wow, that's severe. But mother nature will persevere. It's a way of replenishing the land.
Oh ya, the wild life will be thriving next summer with the new grown. Ugly as it is, we needed it.
Obviously not my photo, but it makes me farklempt (that's the only word that fits) every time I see it.

The four-foot tall bronze statue (sans collar) is called "Fearless Girl".
Year after year? ... I wonder. Can regrowth out pace the annual fires? Will the winter rains cause erosion, mudslides and further damage. Not to mention the health risks associated with the lingering wildfire smoke. The folks that lost everything including family members, may have a different perspective. Severe?, yes indeed.
