"The Morning After the Storm"
I worked in the lower east side for 8 years.
Nothing too special to take pictures of around here, but I was at a garden centre yesterday. Just taken with my phone.
Okay, now for something a bit different.
Earlier this week Amazon had, as a 'sale of the day' item, a digital microscope. The freakin' thing has its own light source built in, a stand, and software that allows single shots, movies, or timed shots to make super slow motion videos and/or timed studies.
Had to be crap. right? I mean for only $18!
But people who had 'em shared some amazing pics, so what the heck... And I ordered one.
Just got it and 'plugged it into my Mac.
Here's the unit focused on a dead fly I found on my desk...
And here's the freakin' fly as seen (and 'snapped') by the software...
I am impressed!!!!!
This is gonna be fun!
Road my bike for a few hours this morning. Finally found this pond in the woods.

"Whisps, Swirles and Sunlight"
Wow that's sick. Can you send me the link to purchase Don?
The non "special" price is a bit higher, but still IMO a true bargain.

We knew, of course, that they were cute. But we didn't know they were fuzzy!
Here's a portrait of a "stink bug." Taken thu m new digital microscope
-Well, that's what we call them -- "Stink Bugs," but technically they are Western Conifer Seed Bugs - insects that first appeared in New Hampshire a few years ago and now are found simply every place. (Including, not occasionally, where we might prefer t be without them).
But beautiful they certainly are!
You have to agree. Well, don't you???
