kudos on your act of kindness !
I've been doing the same thing over the past year or two. I've got too many guitars and sometimes selling them is a pain in the rear. I've given away 6 guitars in the last 18 months and I couldn't be happier about it.
Feels nice to do something good for someone.
My neighbor does quite a bit for me, as I do for him. One hand washes the other.
He found a 1997 MIM Telecaster, and traded an old sewing machine for it (guy with the guitar collects sewing machines)...my neighbor knows I like MIM guitars so he just handed it to me one day.
Well; I had 4 Telecasters and he had none, so I gave him my Butterscotch Blonde that I was having trouble bonding with. We both greatly appreciate each other.
Good Karma! Very nice.
When I read something like this, I keep having faith in ppl.
Some of my ham radio friends we used to live near by and would literally unload half a truck full of gear on each other. Projects that we lost interest on. But this guy just need anything half way decent with a humbucker in the bridge. And like you I wasn't really liking this guitar.
Sometimes selling isn't worth the hassle. I got very little into this one but it will help him out alot more than me. He told me yesterday that now him and his neighbor can play guitar together since he has 2 guitars now.
If we could get people to be nicer these days it sure wouldn't hurt.
My old lady makes hats and scarfs and donated a big box of them to the VA, I guess they are accepting donations for veterans and a acoustic guitar is on thing on their list.
Black Cherry it is, I had never seen that before.
I'm pretty sure it's a photo finish.
There is another one for sale on OfferUp in Phoenix area still.
Mine does not have flamed maple.
This is probably where I got the Antique Burst from:
My friend has named the guitar "the outcaster" haha
Because it's a modified starcaster outcast.
