I did the math and I've saved over fifty grand by quitting smoking twenty-six years ago.

Now if I'd only invested that in the stocks I liked, along the way, I would have been that much closer to retirement. Plus I'm still alive.

Again I was a heavy chain smoker so I would be afraid to figure out how much I've spent.

I quit in '95 after 20 years of choking on cigs.....It is sure nice to be able to double step up a flight of stairs and not be out of breath at the top.
I'd rather "Have Another Hit........of Fresh Air"

Good job, keep on stayin' quit.

Well done man, thats great going.
I was off them for 6 years and bought loads of guitars, pedals and an amp or two with the money saved, sadly this year Ive started smoking cigars so I need to give myself a shake and kick this before it becomes a stupid habit again...

i quit after 35 years via vaping, only thing that worked after i tired everything for 20+ years

last cigarette the day the liquid nicotine arrived from overseas, pressed the button on the ecig, and never lit another cigarette

a few friends seeing how easy it was for me had same experience (pressed a button, never smoked again, and then went nicotine free) and conquered smoking too

self mixed my ejuice, so i could control the nicotine %, and gradually reduced it in my mix,
went nicotine free on my birthday 3 years ago, first time since i was 11, that i had a birthday with no nicotine in my body

been ciggie free for just over 6 years now, now i am focused on fitness, havent been out of
    breath is years..

Im 50 soon, so its never too late to quit...

p.s. Its also how i afforded an SRV Strat , a $1,600 pedalboard and my first tube amp...

Congratulations! That is a definite achievement that you should be proud of! I quit on Jan 1, 1989 when the price of cigarettes hit $3 for a 25 pack here in Canada. Ridiculous. Now I sometimes buy a 20 pack for my wife and it's nearly $20!! I keep telling her that at nearly a pack a day that aside from the health issues, that would be a new car payment to try to get her to quit but she's tried and failed so many times. Sigh...hopefully someday.

You'd hate Australia, try $30 per pack and up....

Some people must be working just to smoke, its a grim thought
