I don't know what this Iceman did to make it's owner so mad cause it's beat to ****! I think he threw it around more than he played it cause the frets are great! The fretboard is coming off, the body near the neck pocket has a crack, the tuners are all busted, what's left of em, the paint is all jacked up, some binding missing at the neck. Also all the nuts are gone, it's like he needed some nuts for some other project so he just took em off the guitar! It also has some weird sludge on it that gives it a matte finish, maybe dried beer?

So that's the bad parts, but I knew some of it going in. The pickups work and the pots seem good. I'll get this beast going soon, just looking at it makes me want to play some heavy drop D riffage! I'd keep it original as possible. Those pick ups are great. Are you keeping the finish,or going for a re-fin.?Either way great score!

As messed up as it is, it is absolutely salvageable. I'm envious!

@surfrodguitar - By the end of this, you will deserve a humanitarian award for rescuing this poor, abused and neglected guitar.

I hope it's dried beer - Do you have rubber gloves ? This project is going to test your skills - Don't give up - there is a cool guitar underneath that mess - it looks like the wood is nice - go natural / clear if you are so inclined ! Total score ! Congrats ! We all want to see this shredding down the road !

I don't even know what to use to clean it with? Desanitizer? Disinfectant? Rubber gloves is a good idea though.

Try a little windex - spray the rag not the guitar - should kill 99% of biological dried fluids ! lol

Do you have a tyvek suit ? Have you already touched it " barehanded " - you should be fine ? lol
