I know it's a Les Paul Standard but when I do an internet search, I can't find any images of a red Standard with gold hardware and I know absolutely nothing about Epiphone products. Was it a special run? It's for sale in my town for $300 with Road Runner soft case and Vox Pathfinder 15R amp, guitar strap, and a couple of instrument cables.

    Thanks,

    MC

I'm not certain....but, I am thinking it was originally all chrome.
Mainly, because if it was factory gold...wouldn't it have all gold parts??
It's hard to tell from the pics but, it looks like the tuner posts are chrome, pickguard arm is chrome, switch is chrome, strap buttons are chrome.

    It looks great though.

    I agree with @mozilla

All the parts would be gold if it was gold from stock.

I think 300 is fair for a LP standard, assuming the upgrades on this are actually upgrades. The extras make it seem like a pretty nice deal.

for 300, you could flip the guitar and come up on the amp, or sell the amp and get the guitar for 150.

I agree with @mozilla . I think some of the hardware has been changed. It sounds like a good deal.

I wonder if it's the reflection of the rug making it appear gold?

That's the plan. I'm good in the amp department, so I figured I'd sell the amp for $100 (that's all I'd get for it in my neck of the woods), the case for $40 and maybe the cables for $10, so I'd only be into it for a hundo-and-a-half.

She hasn't replied to my message yet. We'll see.

Modified Epiphone Les Paul Standard limited edition Satin Cherry......either that isn't gold hardware and the lighting makes it look like it is, or it's been swapped for the original Nickel....

I snagged it and it's all original. It was listed as 'like new' and she wasn't lying. There's not a scratch or ding on this thing and there's no tarnishing of the gold hardware.

It's just like the one that @Guitarmageddon posted a link for. It's a 2009 LIMITED EDITION CUSTOM SHOP...whatever that means. If anyone has more info, I'd appreciate it. Like, are the pickups special?

Congrats! I’m sure that’s a nice guitar. But the limited edition logo is something they put on a ton of their guitars. Not really limited at all! LOL. But like I said, I’m sure it’s a great guitar. I haven’t played too many that were not.

This model was named 'Les Paul Standard Mahogany' (IIRC)
could have been an 'Independant Dealer Exclusive' or part of the '€uro-Club Exclusive' series

IIRC it was the first one with a matte surface
except of the gold hardware the specs should be the same like other standards from that time

there was a similar model, with a color called 'Worn cherry' and 'Worn brown'
those had chrome hardware and the 650R / 700T humbuckers
    like this one

My Traditional Pro has the same sticker. It should have, Made In China, right below it.
Just information. Not a slam. My Traditional Pro still has the made in China sticker, and it is my number one since I bought it.
    Very nice guitar.

Thanks. Yes, it's a made in China guitar. I found an Epiphone serial number decoder online: first two numbers year, second two numbers month, and the third two are the location, mine is 15, which decodes to one of their plants in China. The rest of the numbers decode to 'drink more Ovaltine'.

As nice as the guitar is, the Pathfinder 15R is worth the price all by itself. I'd jump on it.
