    Surprised he kept the pickups stock, but cool that he did. Bugs me how the tech offered to remove the Squier logo. Why shouldn’t a Squier be a professional’s axe of choice? Luckily Rutherford opted not to remove it.

    Since that article, I’ve never seen him with anything but a Gibson in his hands…

    No surprise. Even though he modded it ,its still a gr8 Strat.
    The Surf green one I played early last year in the local M&A store was fantastic !
    Played through a Fender Champion 40. I think it was $179. I did not digg the light colored fretboard and if it would have been maple Ida took it home ;)
