Has anyone here gotten an Offset Tele?

    They are one of my favorites because you get the best of both worlds, the comfort of the offset and the sound of a Tele. The only downside is they kept the stupid design with the stupid switch right next to the volume control but besides that it’s perfect.
    In fact I liked it so much that I cut a jazzmaster and a telecaster in half and glue them back together and this is what I came up with

    Looks good man. I have one i built a couple of years ago. I have not played it since last summer this makes me want to get it out.

    Umm... All that empty real estate southwest of the bridge kinda' puts me off, visually, so it's not for me.
    It looks like they designed the body before they had an idea of how they would populate the top.
    It's why I have this bias against Mustangs.

    Is it good for the balance?

    Just switch pot positions and then flip the plate so the switch is in the rear. Problem fixed.

    Here's a long term work in progress. I made the body Danelectro style with a hollowed out pine center and Masonite front and back. I also made the bridge plate and control plate.
