I have had 3-4 sets from GM and they were all very good.
Yes, very good results with them: ‘57’s, Filtertron’s, and H90’s
Bought the 57 specials, 59ers, 62z, premium single coils, strat p90’s, .25 pounders, hot rodded HB’s, and the dark matter. I really like the ones I installed so far, especially the hot rodded HB’s. Great value.
Any news if GuitarMadness is coming back online?
@Angry Possum - can you go knock on his door and ask him what's up?
His eBay store says that he’ll be back on Jan. 16th.
I guess he moved his opening day back a bit. I wanna see what covered pups he has for the Cort.
After some recent testing I decided any new pups I buy will most likely be from Ken. I have some great sounding guitars but the one I like the best is the one with the Rose pickups.
I has the most open expressive sound out of them all.
Which Rose pup would work best for Scandinavian Black Metal?
I just put .25's in my Frankenstrat. Squier Series Neck, SE body, traditional style tuners, roller guides, and bone nut wearing tens with a wound fourth.
They sound just fine, but must be learned, like any pickup.
This argument is like the pickups in my Traditional Pro, compared to their Gibson counterparts. The Gibson pickups have a little spank and sparkle these don't have, but the two pickups cost more than the entire guitar cost new. Dollar for dollar, the Epiphone pickups are the better value, and the vast majority of your listeners will never hear the difference.
If you insist on the Mayhem set, and can communicate why, then I am not sending you to GM, or going to pretend there are cheap comparable pickups. If there are, I have not found them. If I had, I would own several sets.
GuitarMadness is back up!
Time to go take a look.
Doesnt Ken have a special model just for that?
