No new guitars for me of late. As I have been doing some fishing here in New York with my sons. Saltwater fishing. Found a cool reel called Kastking Baitrunner 6000. I bought two of them. There inexpensive, and work very well. Kinda like a Squier guitar, Play good and inexpensive to buy.

Anyone here have these reels. If so can you elaborate on them. I'd like to know if they hold up.

I’ve been doing some fishing out here as well! Been going for some largemouth bass in silver lake. It’s been frustrating to say the least. Have been wanting to head out to the beach and do some surf fishing too. Maybe this weekend!

I caught a few Bass yesterday using my kayak. I've never used a real like that but I certainly have used low priced ones that work perfectly for me.

Dan, where exactly do you go at Silver Lake? Reservoir Bridge? Me and my boys been going on the new fishing pier at Seaview ave. Id like to try crooks point, but you need a license for your car I believe.

We did a Charter in Belmar NJ this past Friday. $70 bucks for First responders $85 regular, $65 kids. Me and 2 of my boys went for the 7 hour trip, we used diamond jigs. Plenty of Blues. Porgies, Sea Bass and Fluke. I got blisters on my fingers on my reel hand, we caught so many. Golden Eagle Charter Belmar NJ, if anyone's interested.

I haven't used that baitrunner, but I've got a couple KastKing baitcasters on bass rods, no complaints at all, great value on those reels.

Wow, you had a beautiful day!

I used to surf cast for stripers and blues from Gilgo Beach on LI. But that was 30 years ago in another time's forgotten place.

Yes we couldn't of asked for a better day that day. Amazing, the Ocean was calm too. Doing a charter in October for Strypers. My family and some friends, thinking at least 20 people.

No saltwater fishing for me, but I do fish Muskie here in Minnesota and all of my gear is inexpensive. Haven't been let down yet. Only way to find out is to put it to the test!
