All my " Great " projects take a long time. This one about 2 years. So long I can barely

remember the origins of the components . The body was/is a MIM 2 tone burst that slid off

the hood of a car and had all kinds of cosmetic issues. I sanded and sanded and got distracted

so it sat. I think I put together a cedar tele before I got back to this one. I don't have the

patience or skill to pull off a great finish - but I know a guy ! Frank Testa

    furniture builder / re finisher / rehabilitate r . Amazing craftsman ! He's busy always ! How I

managed to get him interested, I can't recall ( but I'm sure it was legal ). He actually has one

more body he's going to do or has done ( haven't checked on the progress ). That will be

another post down the road. The neck is a CY98 and I believe it came from the

@surf green neck purge of 2017, 2018 Rosewood with

23 year old traps. Single tree ( original ). I was lucky enough to have a PG that matched all the

holes perfect. The bridge and bridge pickup came from the Yeats Mystery Box ( brand new

    - Thanks @MrYeats ).

It lined up perfect ! The neck pickup is a random Chinese P90 - I have no idea how or when

I got it ? The most important thing is that it plays well with the bridge and sounds great by

itself or with the bridge . I take these projects as far as I can by myself and then they go to my

whisperer Ron White. He cut the 90 hole in the PG, installed the string ferrules , mounted the

neck pickup, covered the PG in vinyl, attached the pickups to the control plate ( I solder

control plates ), installed the treble bleed and went through the neck . He does amazing setups

    - just finished two Johnny Smith refrets ! Amazing ! I get to see all these guitars - sometimes

    play them !

Behold the Mexi Squier Road Rash P90

Nice job @Kenneth Mountain ! I normally don't care for funky PGs on a Tele, but that one works :)

That’s fantastic! P90’s in a Tele are cool.

    Job well done!

I like that. that pickguard is cool. Looks like carbon fibre, really looks good on the brown.

Part of me thinks I should get some parts and try another build. I hate to say it but I don't need another more guitars....
