Someone in Georgia is selling a CV Esquire on Ebay for $650!
Is that in Japan? 'cause they ask $600 for Affinities! I wish I could filter out Japan when I do a search.
Yes, has a few, different colours, same price. Not sure if genuine or just putting them way up to discourage orders during lockdown.
you can't check the USA only box on the left
Almost everything on Ebay in Japan is stupid expensive.
Thanks, I'm a moron! I never scrolled that far down on the filters before, lol
It COULD be a '64 Strat. Would you pay $19k for one with a hot rail and Lace Sensor pickups?
That's got too many questions surrounding it. Question 4A. Why is the outer, dark brown edge so faded out in the burst? I've never seen that before.
SE for $245 anyone?
No body from here, so I'll say he's at least $125 - $170 out of round, even for Atlanta Metro.
Are people actually selling Squier Strats for big bucks because most inexperienced people think a "Strat" must be expensive?
Somethings way off there. It'd have to be tore down before anything serious happened at that $ ticket. Looks staged somehow.
I agree. Too many red flags. The red is barely showing, yet Fender had solved the red fading by then. And the edge of the body should be much darker, as in black. The pickguard and knobs look too new, and the PG should be mint, not white. The neck and hardware may be legit, but not much else. Here's a genuine '64.
It's the highest price I've ever seen for an SE. A black one at that.
It's hard to imagine that in this day and age when everyone has smartphones and are constantly connected that anyone would fall for this but I'm sure it happens.
Not me. I am the last person on the planet without one. The lone holdout.
I do want to come back and add that he did lower the asking price on his 300 dollar Starcaster Strat and got it sold
I would imagine that original PUs would be rquired to justify the asking price, but I don't know much about vintage guitars. My God, that is a gorgeous guitar!!
I finally switched to a smartphone after being mocked for my old Motorola V50 on an internet date with a woman from the mangement class. After this I was still mocked for buying a Windows phone rather than an iphone/android. The Windows phone was a workhorse but was about to become obsolete so I bought a refurbished iphone last year only for it to pack in after a couple of days use whilst I was abroad and the Apple store in Dusseldorf treated me like a hobo who had wandered in off of the street when I mentioned that I had bought the phone refurbished and this prompted me to switch to Android when I got home.
Here in Canada, smartphones are expensive to buy and so are the plans that go with them. Bare bones service is $100 monthly and goes up quickly from there depending on the level of service.
For me, the ends do not justify the means. Mock or shame me … I don't let what others think, affect my decisions.
That sounds like a lot for the basic service, Barrie. No wonder why you don't buy one. Aren't there pre-paid plan options up there?
If you're not into the name hype (which I know you are not, given the place where we are posting lol), decent phones can be found in the $120-$150 range. Even less, if you don't need that much out of it.
But yeah, if you're not going that use it that much, I can see why it's not at the top of your priorities.
