1986-87 era Fender American Standard Strat, worth about $700-800 used....and the seller claims it's from 1980 and worth $2800 Canadian (2175 US)
That was indeed a laugh, and here's a follow-up:
Maybe it's not a huge laugh factor, but he is asking full retail when they sold for 90 on the Holiday special FSR
If i had any money id actually jump on it. I really want a Telecaster.
A never-ending supply of humor. I guess Dave Matthew's signature is worth at least half a grand, don't you?
I do believe that's the same as their new price....
... it is a VM 70's with a pickguard change, or a STD partscaster
VM, i spoke with the dude a few weeks ago. He is very firm on his price.
I like his challenge to those who apparently complained about his price:
Yeah, he thinks just because people want a reasonable price they must be dealers. When I called him, I offered him 2, considering they're 3 new I didn't think it was a dealer offer. I must not have been the only one.
How do you post 12 pics and still manage to keep people from actually getting a decent look at the guitar? Something is definitely off with that bottom tone knob.
One of the pictures shows different knobs that all the other pictures!
That one is awesome
The shark one is actually a factory made Jay Turser. I've seen a few of them, they don't look comfortable to play.
I think I've seen the machine gun one on-line. Those aren't my cup of tea, but they're creative and definitely have a stage presence.
Reminds me of something you'd see on stage in a gwar show, or kiss.
This is different.
