As most know I have a M-80 special, I didn't like the Fender pickups. I change them and put in Gibson 490/498 . Someone told me I should change out the pots and caps I think they sound okay I am not crazy In love with them. The pots and caps are what came with the guitar, so what do you think is it worth it to change are not. fullsizeoutput_ae5.jpeg

If they work I would leave them. It’s highly doubtful you’ll notice any difference in sound by changing them.

"I'm going to use every one at the same time..."

Yknow, I never thought about that, but I think I'd like to hear that demo-ed.

I wouldn't change them if they work.

If I’m replacing the pickups in a Squier I usually replace the pots and cap. They’re usually not that bad but I’ve found CTS pots were closer to the correct spec, I’ve had 2 Squier Tele’s that had pots with as much as 50k difference on a 500k pot. That much of a difference starts to become noticeable to my ears. If they check out with a multimeter you might as well keep the stock ones though.
