I bought this pedal back in the 90s, I loved it the best overdrive pedal I have ever own. It got ripped off from early in the 2000s, I like to have another one but I guess they have come like a collector item are something. They cost some big money some of them, If I remember right I got mine back in the 90s new 40 some dollars. But it was the first pedal I bought. images.jpeg

An Electro-Harmonix "Mole" bass booster. I got it ~1970 at the company's loft, which was in Manhattan on West 23rd St. or West 14th St., I think. Needed it to cure the thin tone of my Ampeg Fretless short scale bass. Still have the bass but the Mole fell by the wayside long time ago.

I think my first was a Danelectro mini amp/distortion. I think it's called Bacon and Eggs. My 2nd, shortly after that was a Zoom 505 II

A 1980 EHX Small Stone phase shifter. I bought it in 1985 for fifteen bucks, didn't use it much, and five years ago I traded it for a Fender Telecaster body.

First pedal I ever owned was a Dunlop Crybaby, which my dad bought for me when I was a freshman in high school.

First 2 pedals I ever bought were a Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz and a DOD FX35 Octaplus, bought together for $40 total (in rolled quarters) when the local music shop was going out of business. I think I was a junior in high school.

My 3rd pedal (2nd purchase) was a Taiwanese Boss HM-2 Heavy Metal, purchased from a music shop in Monterey CA in 99 or 2000, it was the cheapest used pedal in the display case. I think it was $25.

I lucked out buying the Boss pedals back when nobody wanted them. Had no clue they'd eventually be worth hundreds of dollars on the used market (Thanks, Electric Wizard and.. uh.. like, all the 90s Swedish death metal bands).

I bought a Metal Zone and a Crybaby Wah from the same store back in the summer of '99. So they both are my first pedal purchase!

    This one:

Still have it. (In fact it is a fairly recent pic)

Got it back in `65 to play the Stones "Satisfaction" in the brit music section of an Abstracts in Concert performance, and I don't think I ever used it for anything else.

My sister bought me an Ibanez SM7 Distortion Pedal. I was about 13 or so and I was thrilled to finally be able to sound close to the records I was listening to at the time. I lent it and an amp to a buddy and he moved without telling me and I never saw them or my "friend" again.

It was one of the Tone-Lok pedals and I had every single knob cranked lol

I think mine was this. Still have it. It looks new, I just never got into saving presets, etc.

If not, it was this one. Pre-LED block label. The earlier script logo ones bring $250-$300 now. When you look inside one, it has laughably few components.

My first was the same as Don's, the mighty Maestro Fuzz, the first distortion pedal ever made! I guess I didn't know how to use it, at the age of 12, 'cause I couldn't make my Fender Mustang and Vibro Champ sound like the Stone's Satisfaction. It sounded like a distorted banjo, lol.
