He is right about all the bickering. If I see that going on in a thread, I close it out and move on---even if it's a topic I was initially interested in and could have possibly contributed too. I can't take it either.
Not sure if it's here or Strat Talk but I actually had to "Ignore" one guy (first ever on ANY site) because it seemed like he was following me around and nit-picking every thing I said just to start a bickering session. Sorry; not into it.

    You’re the Squier dictionary, Ryan,

Most of us could identify trapezoid tuners or ceramic pickups or poly finishes, but beyond that, it’s so hard to know the way around Squier because there are so many combinations of things and quality levels.

Rightly so. Life is too short to bicker about things like "sound" "playability" model specs, years, etc. We're talking guitars here after all. And in all honesty, even with great admiration and respect for Ryan, it's also too short to let it get to us... Can't really blame him for stepping back, but you can't allow yourself to be drawn into it, either. Again, we're talking guitars and related stuff. "Nothing to get hung about..."

Ha! I have about four people on ignore here. Just seemed like they were at the heart of a lot of angry threads. It was to the point that I had to step away for a while because I would end up being pissed off every time I got on the forum. Now I don’t see them and I stay happy!

My first introduction to S-T was for a pre-production Pro Tone Strat i had just bought, and Ryan was the first to help me... i knew absolutely nothing about Squiers, Strats... electrics in general. Since then, i came to see just the incredible amount of knowledge he had about Squiers... amazing really... so "dictionary" and "encyclopedia" are good words to use.

    @Guitarmageddon

    never look back
    and never give up,
    we may part ways
    but regret's on us...

    never give in
    your heart knows best,
    it's up to us
    to pass the test...

i dont know what im playin'
i dont know what im sayin'
i only know i'll miss you
thats as plain as i can say it.

    so go on your way
    with the video games,
and leave all the rest of us,
    but in the end
    we'll all miss you
and we might be kinda envious...

i dont know what guitar im playin'
have no idea as to what im sayin
i only know you made me think twice
and i thank you sir for your advice....

I got a warning and I have no idea why. It is so politically correct you can't even look sideways at a post without retribution from the speech gestapo. Enjoy your time away.
