After seeing Marty Stuart and his Fabulous Superlatives in concert last night, and watching Stuart and Kenny Vaughn wield their Telecasters, I decided to do the right thing and sacrifice my guitars in protest of never again being able to say "I play guitar". These guys not only play where no one has ever gone before but as a Superlative you also have to be able to make your instrument sound like a "train". It was a great show, do go if they are in your area. As we waited in line outside the door of the Narrows Art Center in Fall River, MA, Marty walked by us to go in for the VIP meet and greet, he said "excuse me Miss" to the girlfriend, who replied (yep you guessed it) "who's that?" You can't make this sh-t up. A highlight was seeing the Byrd's Clarence White's B bender Tele, that Stuart uses for his main axe. He's funny and has some stories to tell. From the opening note to the last, you could tell that the band had as good a time as the crowd.
