This vid from a few years back popped up on my FB "Memories" page this morning. It immediately made me want to get down with my Jaguar and play the song again.

Maybe it's just my age and the sentimentality that seems to naturally come with it, but to me this old stuff is forever young.

This is my own arrangement. Playing chord melodies on the six-string in place of mimicking Santo Farina's steel guitar.

Sweet and fun music. -Music free of modern-day angst. (And I for one like that!)

Nice. I used to do Larry Carlton's version. Check it out if you haven't heard it.

    Nice! Thanks mwmeci!

There are so many ways to approach a song. To find oneself within it.

    Well that was sweet, Don.

You make it look pretty easy, as well.

    That library looks pretty cozy.

Thanks @ScoobySnacker. My old hands sometimes agree to play it, sometimes they politely decline. ;) But the real work was in the arranging -- originally to be played with no backing track as was very informally done when the arrangement was just coming together, here:

As to the library, yeah. My little sanctum. Built as a loft over the bar and billiards area in the Great Room. Accessed by a cool spiral stair. :)

Seen here as the project was just coming together...

Don, nice work on that guitar. Love that tune, but then again, who doesn't. Sweet and dreamy.
And nice digs you have Donald.

Really nice Don. Beautiful. Sweet. More like the Santo and Johnny version than Carlton's Smooth Jazz or Setzer's edgy Punk. Really great. I loved it.
