These look amazing and change my idea of my next strat. https://www.guitarworld.com/news/fe...tratocasters-telecasters-and-jaguars-for-2021
I just saw story this in my news feed and came to post about it. Stuff looks amazing. Pricy, but with some of those specs, still a great buy. Squier is definitely staking out a stronger position on mid range to high end guitars, which is smart given the number of competitors coming in at the low end (Glarry, Grote, Harley Benton, Indio, Firefly, etc.).
I looked at them but really dont like the black headstock on those. It just dont seem to go well with the rest of the guitar unless the body was black .
So on Gibson style with the expected black headstock, this Gibson style Ibanez made some Pat Metheny signatures with a natural headstock for the budget version and "black" for the high end version. And while the black headstock was often reserved for a highly ornamented guitar, like let's say the flagship L-5, that long established fancy black headstock seems so out of sorts on a utilitarian ethic Fender, imho. It's the same reason I don't like block inlays or binding on a Fender electric. https://www.themusiczoo.com/product...-signature-hollowbody-electric-guitar-natural
I dunno, I usually don't like black headstocks on a solid body unless the body is black but on the FR models the black pick guards/scratch plates seem to make it work for me this time. Edit : these might look good on it (Bare Knuckle P 90's)
