The Fender case seems to be custom for this Bullet and says USA so this may be a made in USA vintage 1985 Corona, California?

The humbucker is a DiMarzio Super Distortion purchased by me in the 90's I think. I should have bought the wider "F size" to better align the pole pieces to the strings. I get some wild tone with it so not changing for now.
The missing pickup holes are covered with Bel motorcycle helmet shade visor material that I made when I first bought the guitar at Lou's Music in London, ON, CA for $197.00. It originally had a Lado humbucker but wiring broke inside the potted coil material. Didn't care for the Lado anyway.

I get great sound playing through my original Hot Rod Deluxe WITH a Doctor Watson's Lion Tamer pot inserted in the effects send/ receive jacks.
Purchased the Lion Tamer direct from the UK through Reverb.com and got excellent service and delivery.
Acts like a preamp volume limiter so you can crank the Hot Rod's wild gain stages (both preamp AND master Volume) without cops being called by neighbours...The Lion Tamer makes you fall in love with the amp for the first time. You will definitely play it more often with manageable loudness / great tone finally!
