  2. That's country compared to what's normally available now a days. I'll have to watch it in bits and pieces.

Thanks Papa, that's the way it was meant to be. For some reason, the industry wants to move away from the "real deal" and replace it with pop- country. Here's a vid I came across the other night, "snap tracks" killing country. What the bleep is a snap track? This guy hit the nail on the head.

Ray Price was always one of my favorites. That is what country music should be.

Hear that..He's been one of my favorites since day one..I learned all his songs way back when he was a "hillbilly" singer..
I saw him live once..No showoff.. No antics..Just wowed the people with his voice..

If you want real Country & Western music you got to go back a ways.

What's accepted as the mainstream of the country music genre these days is just a bunch of silliness. Even rap has infected country :(:confused:

New Country sounds just like bad " rock and roll " with fiddle and steel guitar.

Does anyone here have the nerve to wear a Nudie suit onstage?

Man, Ray has quite a range, from low baritone notes to high tenor ones.

I’m sorry, this is really thread drift, but I have to post it because of one of the comments. The commenter said that this is more country than anything coming out of Nashville now...and he is correct. I am just amazed at this:
