I had a little time to kill before work today, so I hit up the GC down the road. They had this in the “You can’t afford it” section I sat and played it for far too long, and was late for work today (oops) Anyway it’s Fender-branded, apparently all Mahogany (the neck is quite nice) and obviously sports a P90 neck pup. This pushes ALL my buttons! If the neck was bigger, I might have done something stupid, and have to move into my van for a while... It was being sold as “new” but there were lots of suspicious scratches on the pickguard and P90 cover... not that I could afford it, in any case. I may go back on Monday to see if it’s still there... In Squier news, they had a SQ Strat (actually marked as an 83, MIJ, “SQ serial” Strat. It had the 3-bolt neck and BIG headstock, and looked every minute of its age. And was marked at $599! Uhh... What is it with GC and their used prices? They had ONE Squier offset, and it weighted a good 2 pounds more than the guitar I posted above. And the neck was really skinny.
