Yeah, I'm pretty sure. That was 22 years ago so maybe the memory is off a little bit. I know I paid $1000 for the Les Paul, and I remember thinking that I paid the same amount for the SG. I'll have to see if I can dig up a sales slip.

I have an $800 pre-owned PRS S2. It's sitting in the case not being used. Don't know what to do with it ...

Most expensive for me was a RW 60s strat, new, for $899 ... prob the best guitar purchase ever for me, as it’s still far and away the one I play most often, more than a year after the “honeymoon” phase

    Don't laugh ... probably closer to 12 NC's. :)

I just don't trust putting it up on Reverb. ebay has a $500 selling limit.

I'll probably just hold on to it for a bit.

I spent $400 once for a Kramer Assault Plus SD. It came with a beautiful maple top, Seymore Duncan Pickups, locking tuners, and a nice hard case. Still one of the best deals I ever made on a guitar. She's a real shredder. The rest of my guitars go downhill from there. :)

Don't get rid of it!! Those are great guitars. Just remember your regret you have over the white Les Paul. Learn from your mistakes! LOL

I've traded north of a grand worth of gear (Resale value) for a single'86 LP classic a while back. I kept it for 2 days before the guy I suspected would want it came and picked it up. But Cash money? I handed 5 $20's to a pawn shop for a J Mascis jazzmaster once. I actually gave up a Benjamin for a Custom Craft LP copy (but I knew it had a legit gibson Tim Shaw paf in it. I usually trade for anything over about 50 bucks.

$240 for a Hamer T51 Tele. Traded it for a Schecter Tempest that is by far my favorite guitar. I did buy an Alvarez Yairi from guitar center for $500. But, when they were preparing to ship it they realized it was damaged so they refunded my money. One of those deals that i thought was probably to good to be true.

Worked retail all through high school, even while playing football and running track, to save $800 for my first new guitar in 1978. A walnut Gibson ES335.
