I was going through old clips / riffs / song ideas I recorded the last few years.....and found this....what the heck is this.....I think I just may have stylistically ripped off 70s Heart and late 70s Zeppelin, and Billy Squier?

WHAT IS THIS? sound familiar to anyone.....or original? Please ignore the senseless noodling overtop....

There's only one clip...after that it plays something else - autoplay on Soundcloud :)

It's not Lonely is the Night, it's similar but has different chord changes....

Cool clip that I'll dissect, ad to my lexicon...not sure where it come from, though...
Always subjective, but in listenin, I'd a switched rhythm an lead tones, lil vol tweakin, to suit my own agin ears...
That's a great part of th beauty, an allure of music, in my eyebulbs; listen, assimilate, process, create/regurgitate lol! :)
    YMMV, natch...

Best way to find out what it is.... Just master it, release it on CDbaby and ITunes, and wait for the cease and desist letter from the lawyers of whoever it belongs to. If nothing happens, then hey, at least you know you’ve got talent

Whatever it is, it sounds very good. Some of the best stuff I've played isn't anything in particular... it's just something I played.

It was just to get a riff / chord progression idea down so I could listen to it later before I forgot it....it's super rough....

Lonely is the Night the second I heard it. Different chords but the feel/groove is just the same. Imagine two songs with the "Bo Diddley beat" - chords notwithstanding, they're gonna sound very familiar.

It is a very good track, which I enjoyed very much... many thanks fer sharin, an I look forward to many more diamonds in th rough from ya, amigo! Not to mention th finished products of yer talent.

'Rippin off stylisically' is what we all do, as we progress, an develop our own, perpetually...we're all inspired to play, to advance, by what we listen to, an admire...personally, I was alla th above, from listenin to this post...Bravo Zulu; takes a lot to even tickle, much less trip my trigger:)

I hear no others song in there, but yers, based upon yer influences...
Fixin to commence to begin postin an LR soundcheck of a CAR HNGD...
Betcha money it ain't as cool as yers, but I'm no quitter, Brother!
(Too stubborn, too stupid? I dunno...jus know I gotta keep movin...) ;)

I need to do that more. I've forgotten more neat progressions than I remembered.
