Listening to Juliana Hatfield while baking cookies. She's been around for years and is hard to pin down: an eclectic mix of power pop, folkish, pop punk, acoustic solo, etc. Plays guitar, bass, sings, writes. In various bands including the Blake Babies. She has a distinctive voice and I really like about half of her stuff.

Bought one of her older CDs in a CD/Record store. The case is covered in fake fur. The tiny price label said "$8.00 Yuck!"

Hey backwards Melvins! Thanks for that. I wasn’t familiar with Causa Sui. I played the whole album in the workshop today (via Alexa). The overall feel of this instrumental album brought me back to a much earlier time.... probably 45+ years back.

Samples and Youtube of Gretta Van Fleet and trying to pick my jaw up off the floor while not falling out of my chair at how much of Led Zepplin's, vibe, sound, look they have copied. Then I found this:

Heard her new song on the radio yesterday and it really made my day. Not this one, which is pretty dark.

I have been listing to this album all week in the car. If your not from the east coast you might not know these guys. In the late 80's early 90's, these guys owned Hamerjacks in Baltimore. I don't know how many times I saw them there, but they they were a big part of my late teens early 20's. They still play shows here locally and they still rock. Check em out if youve never heard them. KIX.
