Mine is closer to sterling sub ray4 bass neon-like mint green. & that’s bad.
Did you play the Sawtooth yet? How's the playability etc out of the box?
It's good to c heck these prices. For example earlier this year I went to Amazon and found that Daphne Blue Strat clone Sawtooth ... in a right-handed version ... for something ridiculous like $50 or $60. I hemmed and hawed and when I checked again it was now $90 then $100 then $100 or something like that. So these prices change all the time.
I've always been told, but can't verify, that some websites will raise or lower the price on an item depending upon how many times people check on them. The more we click ... the more it goes up in price. Or something like that.
I got home a bit late last night. I took it out of the box to take a look. No dents or bumps. It was in pretty good condition. Tuned it up and just gave it a quick whirl. Not too bad. Maybe some minor tweaks, but not too shabby out of the box. It's really, REALLY light.
I'll play some more over the weekend.
Did you get yours yet?
Yes sir! Guitar in relatively good shape- no noticeable blemishes, mostly smooth fret edges, color is vivid sea foam green!. Only complaint is action a little high out of the box. How's your's set up?
Agreed. Action is a bit high. But otherwise, it's a nice guitar. Thanks for the heads up. This is guitar #2 you hooked me up with.
I'm going to bring this guitar to school next week.
It should be REAL smart after that!
Has anyone been able to successfully register their Sawtooth to activate the warranty and get their coasters? You're supposed to receive an email once you sign up on their website, but I've made three attempts, and no email. I've also sent them several emails, with no response. I know that I didn't pay much, but I hate doing business with companies that don't provide customer service.
Many of us on here and another forum received the coasters after we registered our guitars. Don't recall any e-mail. One day just received a package in the mail and there they were. I had actually forgotten all about them until they arrived.
if I sand down the gloss then apply a tinted oil I'm not sure if it will tame some of the bright green-ness might look good might look dumb. Maybe just take off that top layer of paint altogether & see what's under it. Stain it blue. If I ever get through with my Sawtooth it will be a feather-light guitar with Jazzmaster neck pup beast that I won't put down.
Anybody thought of cutting a belly cut and/or an arm cut on these things ?
And what's the neck profile like ?
Chunky, more so than any Squier, a tad deeper (thick) at the nut than a standard MIM Tele.
Then it werent slab
I play my Sawtooth when my back hurts. It's super lightweight... perfect for playing with back pain.
That's good ... you just might have made me looking for one. I'm not a Tele guy at all. but at this price point ...
Why would you want to? You can buy an Ash SX Furrian Tele with body contours for $159.95 at Rondo
that aint slab!
yo these GC ads killing me epi LP p90 $119 get that out my face
Just get one, you won't regret it and it will stop bugging you.
Really that little LP was one of my best investment ever 5 years ago. It's mind boggling how fun that thing is to play. Doesn't compare to anything ... or maybe to this.
