Hello to you all. I love my Squier. Always thought they were cheapo guitars but I now know they are not. This guy was selling a couple of squiers on Craig's. I ended up getting two squiers
, a stand, strap, and fender tuner for $45.! I've been playing since i was 9 years old in 1964. Was caught by the Beatle bug. Anyways I striped the black paint off one and it looks and plays killer.
I do want to get rid of the tremelo bridge and fill in the routed out cavity with wood and replace it with a fixed bridge. Does anyone know of any fixed bridges where you don't have to drill holes through the body to anchor the strings? If so please let me know. Thanks.

Welcome. But the math doesn't add up ... if you were 9 in 1964, that would make you .... a bit older than 45. :)

Post some pictures of the new guitars.

    We love Squiers.

Have you tried decking the tremolo yet ?
It’s an option to try before you shred your guitar lol.
We love pics of guitars here .
Best of luck whatever you decide to do.

    Hi @shredx, and welcome!

As @duzie said, it seems like decking the trem would do what you want without complicated modifications.
