I dropped this Dimarzio PAF in the other day and here are some thoughts:
I wired it (per the instruction sheet) in parallel to keep it bright, articulate and low powered...
I also positioned the "hot side" (adjustable poles) closer to the bridge to again keep it bright and Tele like.
It's still way more powerful that that stock bridge single coil and I'm farting around with changing the heights of each of them to find a nice balance.
I think wiring it in series and spinning the hot coil toward the neck would make it sound too much like a Gibson when using the neck only...
I'm digging this rig so far and have faith it can be tweaked into a real sweetheart of a guitar...
    Didn't cost that much either:))

Nice. Wiring the humbucker in parallel was a great idea.

I replaced both pickups in my Bullet because they were just too weak. You may want to consider a hotter bridge pickup to go with that HB.

It's a 2019 Bullet "Special Edition" from Musicians Friend...they have a few different colors and strangely...the Lake Placid Blue is the cheapest of the bunch!

I got mine after another member in here said that they're making him buy one at that price. That was all I needed to hear.

Looks like some kind of lavender in the photo which im really diggin.. i think you can use a 4 way toggle to go from single to parallel..

If you are thinking about coil splitting I think you either need a superswitch or a seperate switch (like a push/pull pot). A common mod for tele with two single coils is to have a four way switch so you can have bridge and neck in both parallell and series.

No i was thinking series parallel but you might be right..
It might take more terminals than found on a standard 4 way..

If you look at the instruction sheet for the Dimarzio...they describe at least 4 wiring options...and since it is a 4 lead (wire) pup...splitting,tapping and series/parallel are all on the table:)
I am just trying to preserve the Telecaster "mantra" of simplicity at this point..."a slab of wood with some strings and a couple of microphones."
It might evolve into something more "modern" at some point but for now I'm subscribing to the KISS mentality:))
