Reminds me of Antigua, just without the burst.

Whoops! Sorry, I was thinking the new specs were to drop SD pups in favor of in-house fender pups. Thanks for pointing that out!

ohh you mean Fender Designed pickups! Got it!! Just 'Wide Range' refers to a certain oversize humbucker....

  7. Smashed Avocado paint … that's what happens when buddy messes up the tinting on the Vintage Blonde.
Foreman discovers the mistake and says, "They can be sold as an exclusive FSR". Cheers, Barrie.

Yeah something's not right about this. FSR and cheaper than the normal run.

Looks to me just like an old standard VM... DDs, plastic truss insert and the 'old' logo. Can't make out from those pics if the saddles are Fender (old VM) or Squire (new CV) stamped but I can think of no reason Squier would go back to plastic and the old logo having made the change already on the new 'CV' ... unless they propose carrying on the old VM strat line alongside the new CV70s.

On my screen it doesn't look very green either. More like old VM stock and the price then seems to match.

I'm using text to speech and pushing the baby in the pram so bare with me. First impressions it's incredibly light I thought they send me an empty box I like the colour but it does look like what you find in a baby's nappy.

The neck is really nice and the tune is feelgood very lightweight tremolo system interestingly is unfinished inside the cavity the basswood looks very much like a pine there is a knot visible.

I took off the light gauge strings first thing and I've just put some tens on but not really played it yet. I really like the look of it. The frets aren't mirror polished like they are on my cabronita but they feel nice enough. The laurel fingerboard is very patterned and textured and grainy but feels smooth I like it.

Hoping to set up the tremolo to float, but truly bass looks slightly deeper on the squires than they do on any fenders Ive owned. I'm not sure?

Sorry about all the bad grammar I think being from Crawley and talking a bit like a camp farmer doesn't agree with text to speech
