Recently upgraded my Squier II strat's trem to a MIA 'shorty' from Guitar Fetish. Some Dremel work to enlargen the cavity (found out it's solid wood, not ply!) and all is great, but I was wondering.... Bought new, my stock trem arm never had a plastic tip, just that thick piece of chrome rod. Now I have a thinner arm and a white plastic tip. And an annoying seam on that tip from the molding process. You guys sand that thing off, or leave it alone?
