my favorite boss always would talk about avoiding having "too many irons in the fire" - and I feel that I have not heeded his advice recently. Flush w/ tax return kash, two bonuses at work, and a couple of decent poker wins, I started a few things, and bought a few things - all very much in a "recent" timeframe.

Well, yesterday I finally got the last bits for a build I have been planning, and I got everything splayed out and ready for a build I figured I could EASILY knock out this weekend, even though I have the kids.

well, I got started - and then got distracted after a bit --- started up again and more distraction... only got this far today :(

the GOOD news is that my "distraction" was an overwhelming urge to play - ended up taking advantage of the "loud hours" again today to plug in and turn-it-up !! :)

and, I have another build started on top of this one - parts coming in the next few days

gonna get back at it tomorrow, hopefully

Saah..weet! Love the color!. I can relate to the distraction. I finished up my bass build today and while setting it up and filing the bridge saddles I kept getting distracted with playing it after each string was done lol. Took me 4xs longer than it should have. Just have fun and enjoy the process.

I keep telling myself I have enough guitars but wouldn't you know it, I ordered a bunch more stuff myself. PRS style here I come.

First off, that’s going to be nice!

And second, I know the feeling. I currently have two projects in process, one in the planning stage, and two guitars that need repairs. And I just got a bass that I will at some point need to go through and clean it, set it up, and see if any upgrades are needed! Luckily I enjoy working on guitars as much if not more than I do playing them. But man, there is only so many hours in a day!
