    @Las Palmas Norte
I was bidding 3 of them:
    CXS 080718226
    CSS 040803410
    ICS 10064945

This one I was had the maple neck and I was h*** bent on getting a maple neck. Pretty sure the ICS on was an affinity width body.
I know @MrYeats will probably know.

It has been so long since I owned a SE model that I would not be able to tell you the difference in the pickups. Sorry ;(

Well, Starcasters are consistent with their single coil pickups and SSH models. They are always ceramic single bar magnet whereas, I have seen SE's come with 2 bar magnets like the early MIM's and ceramic single bar ones much the same as the Starcaster.
Indonesia Starcasters, in my experience, are thinner bodies than the China ones.

Really - That I have never heard - I will pay closer attention - although I've been dismissive of these in the past - because I'm foolish like that ? Thanks Barrie ! ! I'm going to put one of these starblaster maple necks on one of my white SE's and see if I like it !

  6. Ken … I also recall CSS serial numbers. So, ya … a few different manufacturing/build plants perhaps.
    Cheers, Barrie.

I think Mr Yeats was answering me ? I hope your right about the starcaster pickups - I recently snagged 2 black/maple without plugging them in - I bought them for the necks - it would be a serious bonus if they are different than what I have in my SE's and I can use them !

my necks are not as nice as yours - but one is close ! I'm going to check this out ! Thanks !

That local Starcaster I mentioned that is available near me (well, 40 miles away) has a CSS serial number btw. I couldn't find it on either the Fender or the Squier dating sites ... although I brought flowers and talked politely.

I have seen CXS, COS, CWS, CSS, & COB. I believe most are from the AXL plant.

  13. Thanks @MrYeats for the additions to the list of serials No's on the Starcasters.;) Cheers, Barrie.

This one is for sale local to me. It’s the first white Starcaster that I have seen. I asked the guy for a serial number, but haven’t heard back from him yet.

    HNGD !

My Starcaster has a fabulous CXS neck . Though it's not as nice looking as this one ,it's a wonderful playing neck.
