Hi folks. The one thing I hate on my Standard is the Tremolo arm. It is over long and sits too high above the strings for me to "palm" it properly AND use the pick to play. I don't like using little finger etc for using it either so, is there a Tremolo arm out there that is shorter and doesn't bend up as far as the original that fits the Squier Standard?

    Cheers.

I've seen the shorter arms somewhere..Don't know where though..
If it were me, I'd modify the one I had to suit me..

Hi. Yeah, was thinking about that but, don't know how brittle the metal is for bending?

You have good cause for concern..I used heat when I did it..It's touch and go with that..Then I dropped it in cold water after wards to re-temper it..If you don't it might bend when you're using it because it's still soft..
    Good luck with that..

My Squire Deluxe Strat arm was too high above the strings to play comfortably. I ended up sticking the short end with threads in the barrel of my 20 gauge shot gun(couldn't find any galvanized pipe) and pushed the long end down with a little pressure. The first time I bent it a little too far. I put it back in the barrel same way and prized back up a little and when I tried it this it was just right.

    BTW---the shotgun was unloaded. Platefire
