Because it would still be a Telecaster, dressed up as an Esquire.
Which.. Telecasters are really dressed up Esquires and there once was a single pickup and 2 pickup Esquire.. But who's counting!
Woah... "Snakehead" and all! You really went all out! And I LOVE the fact that you went with a more "modern" color instead of just some form of white, translucent white, or blonde...
CV50 converted to Esquire
Fiszer Vintage Guitars doesn't breakdown the actual conversion, they just let their tone do the talking.
what does the switch do??
One variation/method is w/ tone control, bypass tone control, through another cap (or bypass volume control)... I believe. Who knows w/ this one. Will be fun to see a review.
I will buy it.
End of the story.
...and the waiting begins: just pulled the trigger and preordered it from Andertons.
I will likely buy one. But it's funny that we want Fender to make one, when any telecaster is an esquire with a new pickguard and quick wiring change. Reversible too.
Yet for some reason I want one that says 'Esquire' on the headstock...
All the new CV models, so far, are poplar. I'm waiting to see where this one is manufactured.
They say this wood is very *poplar* with guitarists...
A quick update directly fromAndertons, the shop I contacted in order to get the CV Esquire:
"Our suppliers have informed us that we will be receiving our order around mid August".
It is a way bad news. I have to learn to be patient, I guess.
Update for those who may be interested:
"To confirm that the following item(s) on your order are currently out of stock:
Squier Classic Vibe Esquire in Vintage White Ltd Edition NAMM (Stockcode 0374032541)
Our suppliers have informed us that we will be receiving our order on or around 20/8/19".
Thanks for the update! Andertons website says "rounded C shape", I hope it will be a bit fatter than usual CV necks.
Does anybody know how limited FSR models are usually? 1.000 ? 10.000 ? 100.000 ?
Did that garden hose come with the guitar?
I have contacted Fender soon after I pulled the trigger and have been confirmed that it will have the standard CV neck
I tried to explain the importance of a (at least slightly) bigger neck and the guy said he would have forwarded my message to relevant people, adding "you may never know what will happen".
So fingers crossed, maybe Fender listen to us
I play the neck pup the most on my Tele .
Very nice tones from the vintage 64 set
Bad update for those who may be interested: Anderton's just informed me that the expected delivery date is November.
That is an awful lot of time!! What are they doing? Maybe they are swapping the necks for bigger ones?
These are Europe only, am I correct?
