Some mismatch wit strings tree setup on 1-2 strings.
Is this string tree sideway shift critical or not?
Should I pay attention to it?

well, I think its not doing anything where it is currently located - so remove it or move it. You can fill the old hole and drill a new pilot hole in the right spot pretty easily

Get some roller string trees off ebay. Less than a buck/set of two...

The question was not about that. I just polished these vintage guides

It work, but may be not so well as need, I think.
So I asked the question here - how critical is this?

if it doesn't bind in the tree, it's cosmetic. If it bothers you, move the tree.

I installed staggered tuners and removed the string trees completely, works great!

If you wind the strings the other way on the tuners ,this would not happen,I think. The pics show your strings all going on the underside of the tuners. I may be wrong ,but mine all go the other way.

Seems more cosmetic than function. If it's working and it doesn't bother you, just keep it. :)

Here's the wrong way, as seen on local Craigslist:

Pretty nice (CBS?) U.S. Tele at a reasonable price. I was tempted, but someone else rescued it before I could convince myself to.

    Hmmm !!
Spaghetti for dinner tonight! That photo made me giggle ...you'd think the placement of the string trees would give a clue to the string positioning on the tuner.

Fender/Ping locking Tuners do the job (and are staggered), but require you to redrill the locating post holes for the tuners on the back of the headstock (depending on the model, you may also have to widen the tuning peg holes).

That would bother the hell out of me. I would simply move the tree to the correct location.

With that low E string wound like that he's looking at a broken nut soon. What's the guitar situation like over in Hawaii. I know it took a month to ship a 55 chevy dash over there.

Haha, me too. Even if it had zero effect on friction or function, I would have to move it over, just because.
