Sell it Don,, its time.. use the money to buy something nice for Jan..
Or another question....Why are you keeping it...?
No reason really. It was just in with the "stuff" I had.
Yes, it was used in a couple of large concerts -- "Abstracts in Concert II" -- that included an entire section on the then ongoing "British Invasion." But I cannot say I have any sentimental attachment to it.
When I did my Library I looked for things connected to my past and interests. Old cameras, a shadow box of crash elements from the Flying Wing, a large bronze colored bust of Beethoven, a cased set of blues harps -- and, yes, that pedal. They look pretty, are each quite interesting, and all get dusted from time to time.
But as I said I don't generally sell things because I like my privacy.
My late sister used to sell on ebay. She'd helped me sell a large camera system. Some went to places like Japan. I gave her a percentage for her efforts. Now I'd have to do it myself and know nothing about it (and have little interest in spending the time learning)
CL is too local and too intrusive. So this, and lots, lots more (entire camera systems, darkroom studio gear) sit in boxes.
Anyhow, this was just an idea. If it really would sell for that much money. But if not then why even bother?
Thanks again, all!
If you do not use it..........
See my post above, it's almost an identical quote as your friend's!
