    I've worked with metal and wood, nothing professional. I can tell you though from my minimal experience ... I find metal is more forgiving .. odd as that sounds.

    They say with wood measure twice and cut once, instead I measure once and scratch my head twice..

    weld with a wider bead. try that with wood :confused:

    Way cool! Having a background in woodworking/cabinetry is definitely a plus. You lost a good apprentice.

    I eyeball it, cut twice, and cuss repeatedly.

    It's different. I like it. I'm reminded of SGs, Teles, and PBass.
