There’s a lot of great pickups out there but when you narrow it down to great pups for the money Rose pups are at the top of the list.

Somebody's in for an eye opening experience in guitar sound..
I sometimes think that I might as well remove the bridge pickup and the switch from my Tele..It's almost always the Bourbon that's being used..

Can you describe it or compare it to other more familiar PUPS Papa Joe?

The Rose website says absolutely nothing about how the various versions of their PUPs sound.

In early versions of the site this was explained as a desire to get away from the overblown rhetoric so commonly used. But then there were at least sound files to allow one to make some judgment. Now, as least as far as I could see, there is absolutely nothing available whatever.

You'll want a nickle silver one so as not to remove some of the highs.

I wonder what type Rose uses. I suppose I could go topless but prefer the look of the cover.

No no no..Leave the cover off until ya hear it without..It's supposed to sound Strat like..There's no metal cover on a Strat pickup..
I no longer have a cover on any of my Teles..

Hmmm, I'm thinking this may be sage advice. ;)

Strat-like would be fine. It isn't an actual Tele after all. It's a cool Route 101 Tele style.

Looks like a winner to me..
Another good thing with no cover is that it makes it easier to wire in a 4 way..I have the 4 way in mine..

I like the matching look of the bare poles of both pickups. These are Rose Freedom T-90s, but you get the idea.
