That's a good price for a Pro Tone.
Top of the line MIK. They discontinued it because it was interfering with MIM sales.
On par pretty much with Squier Classic Vibe - alnico pickups, great necks, only made for 1-2 years......and $250 is a GREAT price!
Well worth the price
That's worth checking out in person. People here love those! Not for everyone. It;s worth playing a bit to see if you like the feel of the neck. It won't decrease in value, they keep going up. $250 is sweet. They are getting harder to find as time goes by! Good luck.
4 days old. I may be gone by now. Anyone knowledgeable about ProTones would have snagged it immediately.
BUT ... most people don't understand Squiers and think it's a "beginner's" guitar.
If it's still available, it means no one knowledgeable has seen the ad yet. Make an offer of $200 and see where it goes. Pretend it's a "beginner's" guitar and act like $200 is a lot for a basic, cheapo Squier that's meant for kids.
Sorry funding won't allow me to get anything till I get back to work. I just had never heard of ProTones. Maybe if someone else is here in Colorado wants it, they can get it.
The owner just said it is still for sale. I have his phone number if anyone is interested.
There were also different levels of Pro Tones. This one with an ash body, gold hardware and trans finish is top of the line.
There are several members from Colorado here
If someone is interested let me know and I will message them his phone number. I don't want to put it out on the World Wide Web.
I haven't ever noticed one for sale around here. If I do, I'll be sure to inquire about that Squier.
I hear there's been some very nasty weather in that region. Hope those members are safe.
@mkgearhead , @horax and @Roccobagadonuts are some I can think of hope they’re okay
Yes we had a major storm come through yesterday. 97 mph wind gusts. Major highway between Colorado Springs and Denver are still closed. The snow is done now it is just the wind and getting roads cleared which it hard because of all the vehicles on the highway stuck.
I just thought I'd check in and say I'm alive and well and stuck in a hotel in Laramie, WY waiting for the road to open.
I just heard they opened I-25 from Colorado Springs to Castle Rock.
Yeah, the interstates are all open now, at least in Colorado.
Stay safe and warm.
I have this in the room if I get cold.
