1981 Alvarez 5013 - The Iron Horse.
Gibson S-1, it's a 1980 model that I bought in 1981. She is still with me.
I don't play with it because of the rising value and she's heavy as hell.

84' Washburn Wing Series T-bird Vibrato made in Japan by Matsumaku, If my research is correct, in the Wing Series line, the T-bird is the only one that has mahogany body.

Absolutely love the W series!
Aria Pro II Straycat. Bought this at Baileys Crossroads, DC suburbs, northern VA, late '80s. The store had a choice of red or white (this was before my irrational prejudice against red guitars had developed.) Couple of months later I saw a weird-looking Fender Performer guitar in Crystal City, Alexandria, VA, and toyed with the idea of PX trade. Didn't follow through and been kicking myself ever since.
Yikes!!! Westone. I have a few. And Electra.
Here's my 84 ish Schecter
My only 80's guitar is a Squier, imagine that ...
That is GORGEOUS! Is it Walnut? How heavy is it? droooooooooool!
1981 Vantage Avenger
Thank you! It's entirely made of Shadua wood (african tree) and yes, very heavy.
New 80's for me Epiphone EA-250 5102TE
My only '80s guitar is this Hondo oddball. It wasn't a Christmas present, I just took the photo around that time. It turns out to be a really nice playing and sounding guitar.
Those were some great copies!
Thanks, although I'm not sure what it's a copy of. As I understand it, it was made off the books, from hardware that was supposed to be used for Mark Erlewine's Lazers. The Lazers had through-body necks and the distinctive Lazer body shape. This one has a bolt-on neck and its own shape. That was handy when I installed the neck pickup, because it made it easy to take the neck off and bolt the body to my milling machine's table to do the cavity for it.
I'd like to know more details, but it seems to be a sore spot for Mark, so I don't want to bug him about it.
