Sure is! I wish I knew more about those JVs back when they came out. Of course one never knows when, or even if somethings gonna turn out to be highly "prized" or sought after.
That's not a JV (or at least the decal and tuners are not JV spec). Looks like an 'A' or 'E' serial to me (could be a faint possibility that it is a transitional guitar though, a check under the hood will tell).
What is the serial number? First digit will do ... eg JV9xxxx.

My bad. It fit the model year. 1983 . But yes it is an "E" model. Didn't realize. Sorry folks.
E-series went '84-'87 with no neck dates. The rest is speculation.
